Here are four steps to follow:
1. STOP your vehicle at the scene
- Keep calm and do not lose your temper
- Try not to move your vehicle before capturing evidence
- Seek medical attention asap
2. CHECK for danger or injury
- Call 995 if anyone is seriously injured or in need of medical attention
- Do not move the injured or vehicles unnecessarily while waiting for help
3. GATHER information
- Record the accident time and location
- Take pictures of the accident site, affected vehicle/equipment and injuries sustained
- Take down the contact details of witnesses (if available)
4. REPORT the accident (recommended within 2 hours)
- Inform your platform operator and make a police report where required
- Cooperate with you platform operator and insurer to provide the necessary supporting documents for claims processing
